She Threw off her Winter Coat and Headed for Spring
She Threw off her Winter Coat and Headed for Spring

I often find the change from Winter to Spring challenging while exciting. I love the subtle colours of Winter when the sun catches skeletal branches and swathes of trees light up across the landscape. The more you look the more colour you can see. It also can feel quite cosy. So when the vibrant colours of Spring appear I sometimes find myself resisting the changeover! This painting is about casting off environments, scenarios and mindsets and heading towards something different, and the brightness and promise of Spring.
