'Metal Workshop at Night.'<br>
Oil on wood

Near my flat was a metal workshop, or Foundry, and it was a mass of abstract shapes of metal, with metal-cutting machines. Especially I loved it at night, when the fluorescent lights lent the shapes an eerie atmosphere. Savas, the owner, let me draw inside, and outside, and I made a series of paintings on this theme. Gradually they became more abstract.
