Black Mountains, China (Great Wall series)

On the way to the Great Wall during one of my China trips the mountains appeared black with sunlight catching areas of their rocky slopes. This is a composite of memories from that day and has been heavily worked on and changed over 2 years. The Great Wall is in the painting as the orange element which curves down the mountain side.

I have also made reference to waterfalls and water.
