'Stranded on the Edge of the World.'
'Stranded on the Edge of the World.'

Oil and acrylic on board
60 x 45 cm

This is about the uncertainty of life. I wanted to use the paint as a metaphor for shifting events and vision. The few elements that remained from the initial image (which was painted in acrylic) were some dark elements and the boat-like shape in the upper third of the painting.

I wanted a relationship between different kinds of paint application, the movement of shapes and colours and a sense of a turbulent journey with the boat shape stranded in green.
