Tavern Mural
Tavern Mural

The tavern had a long corridor, roughly 30 foot long and 9 foot high. The owner wanted each side painted. On the left side I painted a scene that was divided into night and day. The first part shows a man sitting in a tavern drinking with his friends. The sun is in the sky. This image blends into a scene of the man coming out of the tavern at night. His wife is waiting for him with a stick in her hand. (This segment of the painting follows.) This was the subject-matter requested by the tavern owner.
