Cultural Bridges Across the Oceans
The 12th Geoji International Art Festival will be held at the Haegeumgang Theme Museum in South Korea in October.
The theme is Holding Hands.
I exhibited there last year in October and won a Best artwork award which I received by post.
This time my painting reflects on the way that oceans across centuries have facilitated cultural exchange and connections. I painted an old fashioned ship to represent past connections. I painted the sea in places to look like bridges.
My painting is called 'Cultural Bridges Across the Oceans.' Acrylic on canvas, 72 x 92 cm.
